Our work together is focused on creating an authentic, safe space where you can move forward in such a way that your past no longer holds you back. I love to help clients on their journey to improved mental health. I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma, and may have anxiety, depression, or PTSD, as a result. Trauma can happen as a consequence of accidents, sickness, disaster, assault, combat, emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse.
You may be nervous, and unsure about what the counseling relationship can be like. It's normal to have questions and/or concerns. I do offer a free consultation to ensure we are a good fit. You have nothing to lose, and much to gain by taking the first step toward better mental health.
In our work together, I firmly believe the relationship is everything, and research backs this up. There is no one type of therapy that is the best. No matter what theory or technique used, if you don’t feel heard or valued, it is all for nothing. When you and I are meeting together, it is a safe place for you to voice whatever is on your mind, no matter what. You will be accepted by me just as you are, without judgment, or condemnation.
